Hundreds of guests on the fantail for Dependent ' s cruise Dependents Cruise Once a year, Duncan tries to arrange for all of the friends and families of the crew to have an opportunity to get underway with the ship. Nothing can describe life at sea as graphically as seeing it first hand, and the dependents cruise does just that. Many of the ship ' s systems and capabilities were demonstrated such as man overboard, manuevering alongside a pier, crashback, full power run and the missile launcher. All watch stations were open for tours giving a view of the bridge, CIC and CCS that not many get to see. The Sup- port department had a hamburger and hotdog cookout (with the works) for the guests to enjoy. Dependent ' s cruises never fail to please the crow d and the 84 cruise w as no exception!
