As long as the ship keeps shooting, it continues to be useful. To load, to aim, to fire, this is the job of Second Division. Loading is the task of the gunnersmates. Aiming is the fire- controlman's responsibility. And firing is the job of all. When they are not shooting, the men of Second Division must continually adjust and readjust their guns, radar computer and other equipment in order to maintain the precision required by DUNCAN's modern weapons system. As well as excelling in their performance on the gunline, the men of 2nd Division exhibited outstanding gunnery during AAW shoots, shooting dovvn six air sleeves on six consecutive firing runs. Both the fire control technicians and the gunnersmates are to be congratulated for their hard work and excellent results.
