During the many hours of NGFS in South Vietnam, they provided the vital information to compile enviable results to the tune of 4'Spot, no change, fire for effect. Off the coast of Korea, the radarmen operated in an AAW environment Where detection of an enemy aircraft was no game, and required constant attention. Although NGFS and AAW were the primary assignments this cruise, Combat supplied the eyes for plane guarding - not to mention just plain steaming. And who will forget the BMRD's and their fine rigging and painting.
