As we're all aware, the IC-gang keeps the music going for the ship's entertainment system and makes all repairs needed to this system. This is an added sideline, though their main function is maintenance and repair of the gyrocompass, and to the sound powered phones that are located everywhere on the ship. They main- tain a movie proiector, iwhich is a bit difficult at timesl which shows us al l those wonderful movies we see everyday. A-gang has had their capable hands full this trip, with the newly installed air conditioners. Also under Th . k I.-. . . . . eir wor :stings come the welfare of the ships emergency diesel engines, steam heating system drinking fOUnTC1if1S, Feefef boxes, and before we forget, the new and most welcome ice machine on the mess decks lwhich e engine and firerooms will agreel. E-gang has kept the power flowing, though it has been rather hard with the generators going out. Many light bulbs have gone on to brighter days under the constant prowling for darkened bulbs. R-gang has kept the drains flowing, the leaks stopped, hatches and doors adiusted. They have kept the old gear welded in place and have installed other items to keep the crew content. ln their spare time they main- tain the repair lockers and gear also. The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer, but we always get the iob done. l'm sure the bucket brigade from th , -. . ,,,..,,.-,, - .
