Transfers and receipts, official correspondence, leave papers, service record entries, liberty cards and the Plan of the Day were just a few of the many daily tasks accomplished by Ship's Office. The team constantly on the iob in combat from underway to moored are the radarmen lRD'sl. Their main function is to keep the Captain informed, Many times the ship is brought to Battle Condifion I on The Word of CIC. The RD's must work as a team as time does not allow their tasks to be done individually. The RD's must be able to adiust in a matter of seconds to meet the demands of command. Electronics Technicians lET'Sl are a group of individuals dedicated to the pursuit of the elusive electron as it transits through various equipments. Often bleary-eyed and grouchy from lack of sleep the ET is called upon at all hours to fix faulty equipment. The ET's are responsible for the maintenance repair and 0 erqtig f fhe ship's radars and communications system. I p n O
