Cast Will iAnd Zest ament We, the Senior class of Dunbar High School, being of sound minds and bodies, do hereby declare this our last will and testament. The items are to be bequeathed as stated by our individual members. It is our desire that our farewell gifts be used profitably to the glory of the departed donors, the class of 1 957. ARTICLE I To the Superintendent and Board of Education, we leave our grateful appreciation for providing a system of education which will help us make a good, as well as a worth while life. ARTICLE II To our principal, Mr . Robert E . Dalton, we leave, in partial payment for all he has done for us during the past years, our hearty gratitude and sincere appreciation. ARTICLE III To our faculty and particularly our homeroom teacher, we leave our fond affection and enduring friendship for helping us struggle through our last year in school. ARTICLE IV To the Juniors, we leave our dignity with the hope that they will grasp the meaning thereof and not let us down. ARTICLE V I, Varnetia Aiken, will my ability to maintain a good grade in Social Science to Barbara Archie. I, Nella Ree Austin, will my neatness to Joan Boyd . I, William Barbour, will my basketball prow¬ ess to Arthur Wilder. I, LaVerne Brannon, will my position on the basketball team to Ethel Jones. I, Claudine Bush, will my ability to make friends to Ellie Jackson. I, Kathleen Char leston, bequeath my seat in typing to Betty Jo Eller. I, William Click, will my driving ability to Sampson Townes. I, Florine Corpening, will my seat in typing to Martha Washington and my dancing ability to any¬ one who can use it. . I, James Corpening, will my ability to play basketball to Thomas Lowe and my sportsmanship to Calvin McCullough. I, Bernice Davis, will my ability to stay in class to Ann Morrow. I, DeElla Davis, will my ability to be attentive in class to Betty Shaver. I, Jennie Mae Davis, will my hair style to Ellie Jackson. I, Joan Dixon, will my ability to get along with people to Billy Goodlett. I, Joe Louis Farrar, will my height to James Abernathy, and my personality to my brother, Robert Farrar. I, James A. Ford, will not a thing of mine to anyone because of the simple reason I will need it in the future . I, Virginia Ford, will my ability to accept North Carolina as my home to Miss Ruth Holmes. I, William Graber, will my driving ability to Rose Stoner, and my shortness to the tallest boy in the 11th grade. I, Nathaniel Green, will my thinking ability to Arthur L. Wilder. I, Jimmie Hackett, will my ability to get along with the girls to M. B. Smith, and my typing ability to Stella Coleman. I, Clarence Hailey, will my intelligence to Frances Bush, and my ability to learn to Barbara Archie . I, Bishop Hall, Jr., will my charming person¬ ality to Thomas Lowe. I, Willie Houch, will my voice to M. B. Smith, hoping he'll stop growling. I, Lelia Mae Jackson, will my ability to get my lessons to Betty Brown. I, Thomas Jeter, will my height to James Abernathy. I, Isaac Jumper, will my surpassed ability to deal with any subject to James Abernathy. I, Ralph Keaton, will my appreciation to Miss Holmes and Mrs. Kelly, for all the advice they have given us throughout our high school years.
