Aycock, Chairman of Physical Education for Trinity and Engineering Colleges, joined the Duke staff in 1937. Dr. Charles S. Sydnor, Chairman of History, was elected chair- man of the Institute of Early American History and Culture in 1952. Dr. Robert S.
