PREFACE JLI) wc hold within our minds all thT mcmorics vvc hold v irhin our hearts there would be no need for this, the thirty- sixth volume of the Chamicu.kkk. Needless to say, a yearbook serves as a valuable re- minder of those carefree days of youth when the greatest problem we were faced with was not being able to get a date on Saturday nights. But a yearbook does more than that. In glanc- ing over the four volumes that accompanied us through our four years of college we may watch the gradual change of not only the Uni- versity but of the individual himself. As a freshman we see him as a shapeless being. At t he end of four years we see him molded into a definite personality with set ideals and ambi- tions. We see him as a mature person that realizes his responsibilities to his fellow man, his country, and his God. Wc sec him as a per- son read - to accept these responsibilities. If ou are not in the book, project yourself into the scenes and activities. They were all a part of our University.
