McCURLEY Director As you approach graduation and your entry into employment, as long as you live, you will find daily changes you must adjust your life to. It is my hope for you, that the adjustment will be made with facility and alertness. Fit yourself into society in such manner that you will be helpful spiritually, morally and productively. Associate yourself with organizations that pro- mote the welfare of the community and make life more mean- ingful to you and your family. Perform your civic duties, without bias, or selfishness, in order that life for those around you might be more abundant and pleasant because of your efforts. DR. WALLACE C. Iu Wlemoriam Dr. Mark Anthony Smith served as the Super intendent of Bibb County schools for seventeen years, during which time he inestimably helped public edu- cation in Bibb County. Hughes Vocational School is greatly indebted for his personal interest in voca tional education. At the time of his death, he actively belonged to multitudious civic, honorary, and service organi- zations, in many of which he held major offices. Because of his numerous real and permanent con- tributions to the well-being and growth of the total community, the memory of Dr. Mark Smith will ever linger.
