Divisio ENS F. lVl. Rosenberger CSCS R. T. Thompson Food Service Officer S-2 Division is responsible for the planning, preparation, and serving of meals to the crew and all embarked troops. During this deployment some 340 tons of food has been consumed by the crew and embarked Marines. Approximately 650,000 rations have been served. The bake shop has baked some 7000 loaves of bread plus the normal deserts and pastries. Prior to the preparation and serving of meals, S-2 Division is responsible for ordering the necessary food items and the proper stowage of these items. Approximately 1000 food items are carried aboard DUBUQUE in her six provision storerooms and four reefer boxes. When fully loaded after each replenishment the ship has the capability to feed the entire complement for 90 days. 98
