I? ADMINISTRATICJN Max Clark There are seven directors on the Board of Edu- cation of the Dubuque Community School Dis- trict. Members of the Board of Education are elected for a three-year term. They represent the citizens of our community and are charged by the state with the responsibility of providing educa- tional opportunities for the children of its schools. ln fulfilling its obligations, the Board acts similarly in its relationships to the schools as do Boards of Directors to successful business organizations: that is, through the power of legislation, by the de- termination of policies, and the reviews and evalu- ations of results.
