twelve Class of 1956 Standing: Sue Carlton, Secretaryg Margo Vyverberg, President, Mary Dempsey, Treasurer Sitting: Jane Collentine, Vice-President, Carole Schwinger, Secretary. Our last year at Senior had hardly begun and it was over. Remember in the fall how we seniors thought it was going to be a long wait until com- mencement? Being so absorbed in homework, clubs, school plays, games, and jobs we didn't realize the year was passing so quickly. We had a wonderful year full of rewards and promises. Many of us had good jobs before school was over and many more were promised jobs follow- ing commencement. Still there were others who by their efforts were given scholarships to continue their education. Preparing floats for the Homecoming parade, preparing acts for the Variety Show, and decorating the gym for numerous dances we worked feverishly. The night we played Davenport on our home floor was one of the thrilling events of the year. As you may recall we never did have a dull moment. However, we realized that high school was more than just social time, we knew that soon we would be independent and that being independent we would have to be mentally mature. We took the responsibility of getting our work finished on time. We put first things first and in doing so we prepared to meet the hard knocksn of life as strong minded men and women.
