Johnson lust as the head engineer carefully watches the development of the plans of the bridge, so lvl johnson has been attentive to the needs of every student, By means of his long experience he he been able to help many of the pupils to solve their problems. Through his untiring efforts h helped to bring about many improvements, not only in the school building, but also in the program C study. He has been interested in the advancement of education in Dubuque and in the statf serving as the president of the lovva State Teachers Association. He has been especially helpful ty those vvho are in the service or about to enter. Through his efforts many pre-induction and specil vvartime courses have been added to the curricula, Through this understanding assistance, he he made it easier for many boys to make the transition from civilian life to that of the service.
