Om wddwddfllfty On August 31 1950 th1rty n1ne green but Jolly freshmen wandered 1nto a new era Everyone was a b1t scared but the1r anx1ety got the best of them and they d1scovered the1r faculty wh1ch cons1sted of Mr Kre1tzer Pr1nc1pal Mr Z,ehr Soc1al Stud1es Mrs Sch1ller Mathemat1cs and Lat1n Mr Seger Phys1cal Educat1on and Commerce Mrs Ell1s Enghsh Mrs McCutcheon Home Eco nom1cs Mr McCutcheon Scxence and M1ss Walk er Band and Musxc Th1s was our f1rst band We were dmrected through our f1rst year by our sponsor Mrs McCutcheon and our class off1cers who were Gladys Se1tz Pres1dent Charles E1ch m1ller V1ce Pres1dent Ruthann Sch1ller Secre tary and Jan1ce Mehrmger Treasurer Our class reporters were Jenn1fer Stamm and Melvln Meyer and our basketball queen attendants were Ruthann Sch1ller and Jenn1fer Stamm In the -ul and Ambrose Lampert departed from our number In the Fall of 1951 we hurr1ed to the Sophomore Room and found that two of our number had dropped out of school They were Eugene Hemmerle1n and Radus Sch1ller We were fortunate however 1n ga1n1ng R1ta Mae Sennxnger Oscar Fromme and Delmer Hasenour from Jasper H1gh School Faculty changes for the year were as follows John Walker replaced Mr McCutcheon Jesse Quebbeman replaced Mrs McCutcheon Thelma Sater replaced Mrs Ellls and Charlotte Coomer replaced M1ss Walker Our basketball queen attendants were Chrrstme Hall and Ruthann Sch1ller Marlene Terw1ske one of our members was p1cked as a yell leader Gur class off1cers were Theodore Conrad Pres1dent Marlene Terw1ske V1ce Presldent Jenn1fer Stamm Secretary and Barbara Ann Meyer Treasurer Our reporters were Ruthann Sch1ller and Frankl1n The1s1ng After what seemed l1ke only a few days of vacat1on we reported back for our Junlor Year Edw1n Bre1tw1eser d1d not show up and Oscar Fromme V1rlee Mathles and Jan1ce Mehr1nger departed for greener pastures Faculty changes were Mr Parks replaced Mr Walker M1ss Pr1ce replaced M1ss Quebbeman and Mr Chapman was added as Enghsh Teacher Another change had been made 1n that MISS Coomer had be come Mrs Rasche Durmg the year Mrs Rasche took aleave of absence and Mar1e Senn1nger took her place However due to an acc1dent she was replaced by Esther Lasher A Vocatlonal Agr1culture Department was added th1s year Our queen attendants were Inez Bauer and Chr1st1ne Hall Marlene Terw1ske was aga1n a yell leader and Theodore Conrad placed second 1n Dubo1s County 1n the I Speak For Democracy' Contest Our class ra1sed money by hav1ng amagazme dr1ve a carnlval superv1sed by M1ss 10 ' dad , , .
