FLASS HIS TGRY 3 HAROLD MATHIIE LERQI ymmgg ED IIHIINGHR WILLIAM ARNOLD President Vic, px-,ndeng Treasurer Secretary Thirty five Freshmen were enrolled in Dubois High School for the school term, 1948-A9 Our faculty consisted of: A J Ireitzer, Principal, Mr Zehr, Grammar, Mr Seger, Commerce and Coach, Mrs Schiller Math and Latin Mr McCutcheon,Science Mrs McC'utcheon, Home Bc and Miss Shurig, Commerce and Grammar Our class sponsor was Mrs Mc0utcheon At the be- ginning of the basketball season, Waunita Kalb was selected as cheer-leader Gerry Schil ler and Thelma Jean Denu were selected as our basketball queen attendants When we returned for our sophomoreyear, we had lost three of our members: Alois Welp, Albert Vogel, and Herman Evans This year our basketball queen attendants were Thelma Jean Dem and Hilda Mae Eisenhut Again Waunita Kalb was selected as cheer leader Also we had a new girls' physical education and English teacher She was Mary Florence Seng 6 more of our members didn't return for our Junior year of schooling They were: Norma Leistner, Genevieve Hoffmn, Doris Hentrup, Robert Mehringer, Ebert Zehr, and Robert Otto bers They were: Mrs Ellis, Commerce and Grammar and Miss Walker,ovur msic teacher Once again Wazunita was our cheer leader Hilda Mae Eisenhut and Thelma Denu were selected by our class to be our basketball queen attendants The Juniors had a magazine campaign This didn't amount to very unch cash for our class Our class play vas Great Caesar-'s Ghost ll Mr Kreitzer was our class play sponsor At the end of April the ,junlors were hosts for the Junior benior Banquet and Prom Mrs lllls was our class sponsor Again in our senior year, we had a change in faculty Miss Sater, Miss Qxebbemen, Miss Coomer, and Mr Walker replaced Mrs lllis, Mrs McCutcheon, Miss Walker, and Mr Mcoutch- eon Mr Zehr was our sponsor for 'Eve on a-Hggy, our senior class play Leroy Fried man and Ed Wineinger were, elected as editor and assistant editor of the ,year book Mildred Breitwieser was chosen as editor of the school paper Hilda Mae lisenhut was chosen as the basketball queen of Dubois High School Her senior attendants were Geraldine Schiller and Thelma Dem Dorothy Pieper was elected as Prom Qmeen Chr Dubois High School Beauty Qneen was Waunita Kalb, who represented us at the Holiday Festival at Hnntingburg This was also the fourth consecutive year that Waunita Kalb was dur cheer leader So our schooling ended with the Baccalaureate Service held on April 20th and the Commencement on April 25th So mch to our sorrow we must say goodbye to a grand group of students, faculty, and grand, g-and old school, old D H S 1 Mildred Breitwieser Dorothy Pieper Channing Hall 7 A 0 e ' e ' 0 ' 0 0 I 0 I 0 I , ..
