I, ! X xg ---I AB we were preparing this 25th anniversary edition of the Dubois High School Echo, we spoke of the various members of the 24 previous classes Suddenly someone struck a solemn note and questioned, 'Where will be 25 years hence?' To which Eugene Goble, who is always willing and ready to offer a suggestion, said 'Why not visit a fortune teller and find out' This being a very good idea we appointed a committee to visit a reputable person in that field An appointment was made and the appoint ed hour arrived Isee , said the mysterious mystic, 'in the crystal ball street in New York Two men are walking through the crowd and they immediately recognize each other as old school ohums Hershel Zehr and Frederick Patcheak They are excited over this unexpected meeting and converse about themselves Hershel in vites Fred to stay at the hotel where he is registered He also states that he is just returning from a UN meeting where he presided as Secretary General He asks Fred what he is doing in New York Fred replies that he has come to a lawyers' convent ion He has his own law firm in Chicago While they are walking down the street, Fred buys a newspaper and sees a familiar name at the top of an editorial The name is Helen Heeke, who is now editor of the New York News As they walk on they notice in bright lights, 'Now playing North Atlantic a sequel to South Pacific' Hershel remarks that he has two tickets and asks Fred to Join him. Upon entering the theatre they obtain a program and see that the author is none other than an old class- mate Ilglg-glmggl. All lights are now dim ed and Elta Breit- llgggg, who has made quite a name for herself on Broadway enters and delivers a stirring sololoquy. Also seated on the sta e at a large grand piano hey see S lvia Schnell. The mystic con inues looking nto t e crys a a l. 'The two men are now boarding a plane for Chicago. They are sure of a safe trip, because the navigator is a radar expert, Melvin 1 L9 stner. Their conversation is interrupted by a friendly Hello. 21
