X ln October we gave the Freshmen an Initation party. Againhin April we enjoyed a four months leave. When we reported for duty on September 4th, 1945 we were sorry to find that Virginia Gehlhausen, Willis Nigg, Walter Kalb, Delores Ser- mershei.m,.Marie Weisheit, and Junior Strotxnan, did not return, but a new member, Leora Campbell, joined us. We retained the sa.me officials. Class officers were: ' President: Janice Hoffmann Vice President: Oleavia Kieffner Secretary: Leroy Pieper Treasurer: Sarah Jane Zehr Our class sponsor was Mr. Jackson. , Queen attendants of that year were: Oleavia Kieffner and Leora Campbell. For past-time we centered our interest in English, U. S. History, Health, Safety, General Business, Arithmetic, Sociology, and Typing. On April 4th, we entertained the Seniors at the Country Club. On September 3rd, 1946 after four months leave we again set sail to complete our quest. We now have three new officials in our teaching staff. They are Chief Cook--Mrs. Zehr, Mr. Seger replaces Miss Mc- Kanna as Storekeeper, and Mr. Rowekarnp has been added. Lorena Potts did not return but a new mate, Victor Zehr Joined us. Our time was spent in amusing our mind with Civics, English, Home Economics, Typing, Bookkeeping, Health and,Safety, Algebra and Short- hand. Our class officers are: President: Leroy Mathies Vice President: Victor Zehr Treasurer: Betty Schepers Secretary: Shirley Voelkel Our class sponsor is Mr. Zehr. Our motto is Tonight we Launch, Where Shall We Anchor? Our last voyage on the good old U. S. S. Dubois will be ended with commencement exercises on Api-i1 Z9, 1947 on the deck of our Grand Old Ship. Though we have been striving for the port of Graduation for four years, we are sorry we have to leave the U. S. S. Dubois.
