Mr. Johnston has striven for and has achieved an understanding with students; yet retaining the respect of the students. This teacher has sacrificed his free hours to work side by side with the Seniors of '73. However, these words are not enough or can ever begin to describe this remarkable man. To under- stand and to admire Mr. Johnston, an out- standing teacher, one must know him. So, all one can say after knowing him is, “Thank You.” A A MESSAGE FROM THF SUPHRINTENDENT Administration Richard G. Hodgson Superintendent Hal M. Hale Principal A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT First, I should like to thank the students, the faculty, the board and the patrons of District 2 for a very memorable school year. Each of you has contributed to the improvement of our school system. As a result of the passage of the bond issue during 1972, we were able to move into the new facilities in March, 1973. We were also able to inaugurate many new programs. I would particularly like to con- gratulate the students for their academic and athletic achievements. There is no doubt that these achievements would not have been possible if it had not been for a spirit of cooperation and an excellent attitude on the part of all concerned A special note should be made of the Class of 1973 whose leadership paved the way to our year’s successes. It is my hope that in future years when you graduates glance through your annual of 1973, you will recall this year with a sense of pride and ac- complishment. A3oard of trustees B. T. The girls unite to support the team and encourage good sportsmanship. The members of this organization worked hard all year to earn enough money to go to the District and State Basketball Tournaments as a group. During the 1973- 74 school year, a Dubois Booster Club will be initiated in the hopes that interest in team support will increase. 58 Variity Ck eerfeaderA VARSITY CHEERLEADERS - Top Left to Right: Donna Albright.
