I....... The Annual Staff of 1968 Presents THE RAM To You, The Students of Dubois High School Bob Grubb Editor Juanita Waits Asst. Editor Dean Shepardson Asst. Editor TABLE OF CONTENTS Dedication Seniors Juniors Sophomores Freshmen Administration Faculty Junior High Elementary Organizations Athletics Activities 2 Advertisements DEDICATION We, the class of '68, proudly dedicate this Yearbook to Charles Mischke. Through the past four years he has been a wonderful and helpful teacher and friend. It is through his efforts that this 1968 RAM” was made possible. It's hard to express our thanks for all you have done for us, so all that we can do is hope that this yearbook can show you our gratitude for your help and patience, and our respect for you as an advisor, a teacher, and a friend. We dedicate this RAM to you, MR. MISCHKE. 3 Since the first grade, we have had a classmate who soon became a very close friend to most of us. Throughout our school years, she was a bright addition to our class, especially during the high school years. But due to a serious illness, this girl was unable to be with us during the latter part of the Senior year. Having met the state requirements to graduate, the School Board decided that she would receive a diploma despite her ab- sence. We all missed her, but were glad that she was able to graduate after all. It is with great pleasure that the Ram Staff dedicates this spe- cial page to our old friend and classmate, SANDY RAITH. The fall of 1956 saw the class of 1968 entering first grade. Of thirteen graduates, ten entered first grade in Dubois. Juanita Waits joined the class in fourth grade; Bill Carter came our Soph- omore year and as Seniors we were joined by Ellen Hoewisch. The ten above are: Danna Stevens, Linda Hutchison, Sandy Raith, Michelle Brown, Dean Shepardson, Milt Miller, Bob Grubb, Fred Hawley, Jeanette Lynde, and John Butner. Can you find them? SENIOR WILLS I, FRED HAWLEY, will my old Dodge pickup to anyone who will have it, and my ability to pass in school without taking books home to Sherry Stevens, since she never manages to do either one. I, JEANETTE LYNDE, will my fun in D.H.S. to anyone who wants to go to school, and my ability to get along with teachers to Doug Johnson in hopes that he will use it more than I did. I, JUANITA WAITS, will my cheerleading fun to Dixie, and my VW to Mr. Mischke for parallel parking in Driver's Ed. I, MILT MILLER, will my good grades in Math and Science to my sister, and my weight and build to Mark Ferris. I, BOB GRUBB, will all my hair to the basketball team next year, and my snowcat to Coach McDougall. I, JOHN BUTNER, will my height to Justin Allison in hopes that he can put it to better use on the basketball floor than I did, and my ability to make it in school without hardly trying to anybody who wants it. I, ELLEN HOEWISCH, will my fun as a Senior to Jane and Kay, and my will power to let my hair grow as long as I did to Paulette. I, LINDA HUTCHISON, will my position as Pep Club Pres, to anyone who enjoys headaches, and my ability to get along with everybody to my sister, Audrey. I, DANNA STEVENS, will my ability to chase boys to Lisa Wilson in hopes that she can run as fast as I did and catch the one she wants. I, DEAN SHEPARDSON, will my grades and my stocking cap to Ken Burns (Gurk) who might be able to use them. I, MICHELLE BROWN, will my braces to Lanny and Larry Bigelow and my green eyes to Jim Butkovich because he likes them so well. I, BILL CARTER, will my ability to stay awake in science to anyone who will have the class two hours in a row next year. 12 JUNIORS President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Mickey Redman Monte Reed Kay Lang Audrey Hutchison Lynette Maxson Lanny Bigelow Bonnie Carter Lisa Wilson Steve Gardner Barbara May Paulette Hoffman Ruth Miller 14- saaowoHdos Mark Hickerson Jon Steinke Thomas Batty Sherry Stevens Melody Brown Norman Duncan Mark Ferris Gene May Billie Jean Powell Secretary President Vice President Treasurer Gerald Hagberg Reporter Representative Don Detimore Joe Lynde Pat Hays Dixie Shavlik Jerry Reed Todd Webster Jim Butkovich Eric Wells Keith Penney Jack Long Mike Johnson Ken Burns Jack Guinard Leona Jackson Doug Johnson 1 16 FRESHMEN Jerry Marrou Oscar Kelsey Mike Carson Geralynn Hart Virginia Burns Bob Conley Nora Wilson Mary Finley Secretary President Vice President Treasurer Representative Reporter Richard Stithem Bill Arthur Mike Stewart Ardith Steinke Ben Boedecker Bonnie Boedecker Laura Hancock Linda Bradshaw 18 ADMINISTRATION TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1968 I have enjoyed my association with the students of Dubois School this year. My sincere congratulations to the Annual Staff for their hard work on this publication which will serve as a reminder of pleasant memories for the graduating seniors. My very best wishes to the Class of 1968. May your past expe- riences in school fill you with aspirations for the future. I hope that each of you shall have the desire to continue your education in whatever way possible. It is possible to become as small as your controlling desire or as great as your dominant aspira- tion. C ongr atulations: 20 Neal T. Arthur Superintendent PRINCIPAL L. to R. STANDING: Neal T.
