'em on ani To the loving memory of three recent graduates of Dubois High School, who have this year departed this life, the Senior Claes dedicates this book. Each has an Immortal place in our memories as being happy and highly regarded leaders in our school life. We will remember their contributions to our lives and value them in the realization of the enduring effect upon our own personalities. As he looks upon this class 29 years later he sees as follows; Joan Gilliland Is still sitting at the switchboard waiting for her husband Tommy to get out of the service, but It seems that Uhcle Sam has sent him to some ether land where another woman needs him more than she does. We see Duane Scott working for Mr. and Mrs. Downs filling In the Blue Holes with a pick and shovel and wheelbarrow. He has been working there ever since Graduation. GREAT SCOTT. Peggy Nowlin Is working for a living, (taking In washing) while her husband Ronald Is making hot rods and modle aer- oplanes for their twelve children, (cheaper by the dozen). As we look Into the future we see Dave Boedeker worderlng If any new girls will move Into town. Because he's tired of waiting for Shirley to Graduate. As we gaze farther Into the future we find him still waiting; It's 1980, might as will give up Dave. As ever, Mr. Time We, the mighty Seniors of 1951, of Dubois High flohool, oounty of Fremont, State of Wyoming, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby deolare this to be our last will and testament, hereby revolting any will or wills made by us To the Faculty , we will our sincere appreciation for all the numerous things they have done to make us better suited for the outside world. I, Dave Boedeker, do hereby will, the ash tray I have been making in Shop Class to Bennet Hays in hopes the paint on it will be dry by the time he is ready to work on it next year. If by any chance Bennet should be called to the Army I hope it will not be rotten by the time he returns. I, Joanne Gilliland, do hereby leave my ability to get out of school to work part time behind a switchboard in the Dubois Telephone Exchange, to Maxine Shaw. I, Duane Scotr,, do hereby leave all my Phenomena and Theories to the Chemistry Class in hopes they can put them to good use, also leave my sideburns to Hank Ahlberg giving him permission to bleach them to match the delicate coloring of his hair. Suddenly out went the lights leaving the gyran In total darkness. Did the power fall? No. It was the Dubois Pep Club going Into a stunt. With the beat of the tom-toms In the background the girls, wearing luminous headteess, paraded solemnly to the center of the floor. The three chiefs led the warriors In the School Yell. Again the beat of the tom-toms and the parade from the floor. Next year we hope to have new outfits for the entire Pep Squad. Money has been raised by bake sales and the sale of aprons. Perhaps a trip to Laramie next year for the Activities Day will materialize. Until next year we say good-by.
