Here members of the football team cut up on the grass before a pep rally. Cold winds don't seem to bother the cheer- leaders as they lead their yells in front of the stands. Somehow these girls find time to sell pennants, whitewash the streets, sell corsages, have bonfires, and sponsor parties for the team after every home game. September 1 A 4 .0 1 x 'V . kkk, . The cheerleaders, Pat Shillingburg, jan Hudson Ann Burrows, Norma Wllllam son, and Sandra Branum, hold a sign for the boys to run through as the stands roar December Signs of Christmas were seen everywhere as the holidays grew near. Blackboards grew gay with winter scenes like the one pictured by jamie Compton and Carol Robbins. Mrs.Caraway's home was covered in wrapping paper as a group of senior girls met there for their annual Christmas party. The F. T. A. also had a party at her home. The annual staff presented its photographer, Dean Bradley, with a baby rattler in assembly. -1-7 ln In the Christmas assembly at school we were entertained by talented students. The Sloppy Four with it's cornet player, Paul Read, were a tremendous hit. A group of freshman girls sang several selections, On Friday before school dismissed for the holidays the football jackets arrived. That night there was a party in the city recreation building sponsored by the Student Council. ,JB 1 l RW JK X VT ,fx J Ianuar Tests are the main issue about this time, and many wails are heard as students learn that they do not meet exemption requirements.
