SCHOOL CALENDAR September 7-Back to the salt mines! September 8-Better watch when you are backing up, Herb. Those trees are awfully hard. September 9-The cheerleaders were elected. They were Ida Smith, Sylvia Phillips, Sandra Byrd, Janice Pinney and Ginny Jacoby. September 10-Someone received a whipping today. I heard it was the Sophomore Class president. What about that, Lonnie? September 11-Teddy celebrated her 17th birthday. Why was Judy rocking her car instead of the boat? September 14--Pete Huntington left for Dartmouth. Sylvia is knitting socks for his Christmas present. September 15-Squirrel season came in with a bang. Our ardent hunter, Mr. Love, got nine in all. September 18-Rosemary Kiss drives today. Why is Mr. Morton turning green? September 19-Strange things happened today. Dublin was invaded by the new D-Teens members. They raved about how good the food was. September 20-A slumber-less party was held at Janice's. Who led the parade of boys ?? September 21-How did a worm get into the canned corn in Home Economics! Ask Patty Brown. September 23-What was a cat doing in Janice Pinney's desk? Please leave your pets at home in the future, Janice. CEspecially the dead onesl. September 24-Who is Sue Pence's dates to all the football games? That Sue's quite a girl. September 25-The Sophomore class held a paper drive. Did the class pay for all the apples taken by mistake? September 28-Who is the new four-legged girl in the Senior home- room? Is her name Fido or Rover? October 1-Dublin's first touchdown was made, Herb Jones. October 4-Kaye got a new blouse for her birthday. Could you guess who it was from? October 5-Mr. Simmonds again parked his old buggy on the school house roof. The parking problem is really getting bad, isn't it? October 9-Why did Miss Koch forget to come out of the restroom to see Janice and Ginny? Thinking up songs, maybe? October 12-What's this about a bobby pin case? Ask Shirley Plum- mer. October 13-Homecoming queen and court was chosen. Carolyn Daniel was queen, Patty Clark, Senior attendant 3 Joyce Geese, Junior attendant, Diane Dodd, Sophomore attendant, and Patty Dix, Freshman attendant. October 15-What was that crash that was just heard? It couldn't be Marlene Cordle driving the Driver Training car could it? October 16-The Juniors sponsored a hayride. Were you cold Mr. O'Rourke? There was plenty of straw and blankets. October 18-The Franklin County Honor Society Meeting was held at Dublin. The new members were Sharon McQuaid, Patty Brown, Carolyn Daniel, and Charlie Pinney. Who were holding their own among the best square dancers? Why its Mr. Love, Mr. Welch and Mr. Wolfe.

October 25-Seniors had their pictures taken at Delaware. Albert was the cat's meow in his pink hrocaded vest. October 29-Why were the Juniors calling each other weeds? November 3-Whose sweater was Jean Stevenson wearing in Short- hand class? Were you cold, Mr. Stein? November 5-The 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades were led into the new building by that daring adventurer, Mr. Browning. The Band Skating Party was held. What was Pat beaming about the day afterward? November 8-Where was Kenny Bob Thompson until 5:00 in the morning? Up on Seldom Seen Road maybe. November 10-A new family from Guatemala is attending Dublin. They are Aida, Ricky, Henry, John, and Henrietta Vassaux. Welcome to Dublin. November 18-Election of basketball cheerleaders was held. They were Varsity: Sylvia Phillips, Janice Pinney, Ida Smith, Sandra Byrd, and Ginny Jacoby, Reserve: Pattie Clark, Judy Thompson, Kaye Holder, Brenda Brown, and Toni Allen. November 19-The Senior class play, Seventeenth Summer , was a huge success. Pete sent Sylvia some beautiful white mums. November 24-Mike Herd and Rosemary Kiss are separated-by the buses going different routes, so they cannot sit together in the morning going to school. December 3-What were Beverly Butterfield and Don Rose making in the dark? Popcorn or love? December 5-We have a new student at Dublin. It's Mrs. Peachy Termeer, who is a real peach. December 10-Who was the visiting fireman with the red suspenders? What about that, Chuck Cordle. December 17-Two Sophomores were caught necking in the hall today. Guilty conscience anyone? December 21-It it true five girls have formed a press club? I'm sure I saw them in the halls 2nd period with a camera. Did you see them, Walt? January 6-Mr. Love swept the hallway for one of the Sophomore girls today. Pudge, you'll have to hold on to your jewelry. January 8-There's a new girl in the Junior class. Her name is Ro- berta Sheridan from Worthington. January 12-Anyone for inchy-pinchy? Go to Mr. Morton. January 22-Senior's held a card party. That raffle looked awfully hammy, Walt. January 26-The Juniors got their class rings. They surely are sharp. Carl and Dick didn't have theirs very long, did they-Belva and Sue? January 27-The Home Economics girls visited the Donaldson Bak- ery. Also the Senior Scholarship Tests were taken at New Albany by Walt Myers, Charlie Pinney, Sandy Jones, Sylvia Phillips, Harriett Asch- inger, and Ginny Jacoby. January 28, 29, 30-The Senior lumberjacks were called out on a three-day emergency duty to raise money for the Senior trip. January 30-What's all the red tape Ann Fowler had to go through to get her ring from George? February 4-The Homecoming ceremonies were held. Carolyn Kar- rer presided as queen, Marlene Cordle as Senior attendant, Carol Riggs, Junior attendant, Pudgy McKitrick, Sophomore attendant, Sue Pence, Freshman attendant. Why didn't Carol Coffman's red face go with her black blouse at the dance following?
