People move about more. lt is now common for an average individual to move five times during his working career. Very few people will spend a working lifetime in one place, Mr. Charles Guyder, however, has done just that. In 1952, Mr. Guyder began his career at Duanesburg Central. Thirty-six years later, a working lifetime, Mr. Guyder is retiring from D.C.S. He has dedicated his life to the thou- sands of students who have passed through the sys- tem. He has shown great commitment to the entire Duanesburg community. We can all be proud of hav- ing been associated with him. Throughout the 1950's and early 60's, Mr. Guyder served as physical education instruction, driver edu- cation instructor, and coach of the three major boys' sports teams. ln 1967, he became principal of the elementary school and in 1976, he succeeded Mr. Schuyler Cornthwaite as Superintendent of the Duanesburg Central School District. He carried out the responsibilities of each particular duty with true, complete professionalism. Our class honors Mr. Guyder's dedication and loyalty to the students and citizens of this district. We wish him a long, happy, healthy retirement. MR.
