Every- one knows everyone else and nearly everyone cares. Where else do teachers honor students with a start-of-the-year picnic? How many prin- cipals cook hamburgers for future graduates? It's a place that is not afraid of change. At DCS scholars are honored and respected-after all, ac- ademics are NUMBER ll Students here are as comfortable at a Shakespearean production as they are on the playing fields. People still don't boo at basketball games or scream during oppo- nents' foul shots. Duanesburg is unique and we like it this way. . 4 Yam., You are now about to begin a journey through ten months of peoples' lives. You will see them laughing, working, playing and doing the many things that come with youth and its vibrancy, Enjoy these pages and the hope and freedom that they represent, Never forget what it is to be young. When I was a junior, the upper- classmen said again, These next few years are going to fly by. I knew that this year would be the longest and toughest. I didn't believe them. Now I'm a senior.
