744: Sam It seems hardly possrble that we have attended hrgh school four years yet they have not been long years tnstead they have passed so qulckly that we scarcely realrze that the end of our hrgh school day IS so near In 1950 51 we entered high school wtth the usual mexperrence of freshmen but we soon learned to conduct ourselves correctly rn hxgh school and we became accustomed to the many prrvrleges whrch we were not granted rn our grade school days The followmg year 1951 52 Rrchard Karl was elected our presrdent W1th James Cummtngs as vrce presldent Pat Sterlmg as secretary and Janet Schoonmaker as treas urer hrs admrmstranon was considered most successful Our spaghem supper was the year s outstandrng event In 1952 53 the class elected Jrm Cummrngs for presrdent. Thrs ume the assrstants were Rrchard Karl v1ce presldent Janet Schoonmaker secretary and Muffy Potter treasurer Our Jumor prcmc was the outstanding acuvrty for the year As Jumors began to act more drgnrfred as we realrzed that next year we would be senrors In September 1953 we returned full fledged sernors and the class showed tts apprecrauon of Irm Cummmgs good work by choosmg h1m for presrdent once more Co workers elected were Howard Canastra vrce presldent Muffy Potter secretary and Norbert Hebert treasurer Class 3CI1V1U6S for thrs year have been dances and suppers We are happy and proud that we have been successful thus far yet there LS a pang of sadness tn our hearts when we thrnk that we shall never agam be students of Duarres burg Central School We may return to v1s1t but our places wrll have been frlled by succeeding classes weoftdeseiook '7 wife?
