CARBONE, USN, of Fairmont, West Virginia was commissioned in 1959 after graduation from Fairmont State College. He earned a Master of Science De- gree in Management from the Naval Post- graduate School in Monterey, California in 1966. Since commissioning, CDR CARBONE has served tours of duty in USS SOLEY CDD 7075 as EMO and CIC Officer, as Executive Officer USS STALWART CMSO 4935, as Opera- tions Officer USS SEMMES CDDG 183, as Ex- ecutive Officer and Commanding Officer USS DUNCAN CDD 8745 and as Chief Staff Officer Destroyer Squadron Three. He has also ser- ved as AAW instructor at Dam Neck, Virginia, as Special Assistant to the Director of Enlist- ed Distribution in the Bureau of Naval Per- sonnel and as Assistant Director for Enlisted Recruiting Operations at the Navy Recruiting Command Headquarters, Washington, D.C. CDR CARBONE reported to DUPONT after a year of study at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University, Washington, D.C. CDR CARBONE is married to the former Lois Simons. 1 -.Q,.,,-.,,...- , ,, A .Q A X 7 f LCDR PARRISH was commissioned 18 March 1966 from OCS in Newport, Rhode Island. Fol- lowing commissioning he served two years in USS WARBLER CMSC 2065 in Sasebo, Japan. He served as Navigator on board USS SEMMES CDDG-185 homeportedtlnCharleston, S.C. He attended De- stroyer School from October 1970 to May 1971 and reported to the new construction crew of the USS FANNING CFF-10765 as Weapons Officer. In 1975 he received his M.S. degree in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California. After graduation from NPGS he served two years as Commanding Officer of the Military Sealift Command Office in Taipei, Taiwan. XO: LCDR. ROBERT H. RILEY 10 July 78-5 December 78 LCDR RILEY was commissioned as Ensign, USNR through the Contract NROTC Pro- gram at the University of Idaho in July of 1964, and augmented to Regular Navy in June of 1966. His first tour of duty was in USS JAMES E. KEYES CDD-7875 where he served as Gunnery Assistant and ASW Officer. He attended Destroyer School from December 1966 to June 1967. He then reported to USS EPPERSON CDD-7191 where he served as Weapons Officer until August 1969. In September 1969 he assumed com- mand of the USS ,SUTTER COUNTY CLST-11509. After successful completion of that tour he went to BUPERS and was assigned to the Enlisted Personnel Department. He then served as First Lieutenant in USS FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT CCVA-421. Prior to reporting to the DUPONT, LCDR RILEY attended the Armed Forces Staff College. His next assignment takes him to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to work in CINCPACFLT. XO: l.CDR RICHARD D.
