ls Cui' Principa Dear Diary: Should I buy my school an- nual, the DuPontian, this year '? Dear Pupil: Should you? You lucky fel- low! Bend an ear! Your Yearbook is the history of the years educational and social activities at DuPont Iligh, told completely in story and picture. It is a personal record of you, your gal, and your pal. As a source for proof of graduation, of extracurricular services, rewards for academic honors, your annual is indisputable evidence. And those pictures of pony tails and crew cuts will be something to bring out to amuse grandchildren when babysitting. It will be a renewed pleasure each time it comes off the shelf. To you who spent hours of labor and days of fear of that deadline, this will be an extra pleasure. The day the Bulletin announces the DuPontian is out, few of the crowd will remember to toss you staff- e1's a nice job. But one can feel in the pride and excitement of the rush for autographs, a silent satisfaction in a job well done. So pupils, staff, and adviser, believe me, the record you have etched on paper, will be a lasting remembrance of the few blue days, but the many, many happy hours in the halls and fields of Du- Pont. Sell the old farmplace! Let the house burn down!! But save that 1957 Du- Pontianlll

'M-an The job of our school secretary, Mrs. Margie Lobuts, is a very hectic one. Among her duties are those of keeping the books and making out transfers for students who are moving. She is also in charge of the used and new book store. Mrs. Lobuts, along with her assistants, keep the office humming amid a myriad of tasks. The office assistants pictured below are Lora Cotter, Phyllane Collins, Juanita Dixon, Wilma Seabolt, Nancy Meadows, Mary Douglas, Betty Jarrett, and Karen Beck- ett. The announcement and absence sheets are published and distributed by these girls, files are kept in order, and phone calls are received. They volunteer their time and receive no academic credit. 9
