This group strives to attain the true measure of musical accomplishment, which is the ability to sing good music intelligently. This season the a cappella choir presented a program for the opening session of the State Education Association in November. The music department furnished vocal ensemble groups for several civic club meetings. The chorus presented a choral reading, This ls Our Land, with instrumental background music of patriotic songs. The chorus sang The Four Freedoms , From the Declaration of Independence , and climaxed the program with America, The Beautiful. The choir presented a pre-Easter program of sacred music with an explanation of the painting, The Lord's Supper , by Mrs. Zenith Young, Art lnstructor. The annual choral con- cert, National Music Week concert, and graduation closed the year's musical events.
