Cfadd Nw iory The boom was lowered as we, the graduates of '52 entered our freshmen year with 30 students Gur Presl dent was Bob Hopp, Vice President, Mary Hllliker, Sec retary and Treasurer Dorothy Walmsley Sally Brooks and Fred Henderson were student council members Iany stu dents were welcomed from Metamora and lhornvllle Patsy Jones, Dwight Huddleston and Charlotte Strausser were lost in the scramble The inltlation given us by the sopho mores was in every way a frightening experience As sopomores we acted a little more dignified hrs Weingartz was our class sponsor The class oflicers were President, Doris Walker, V1ce President, nary Hilliker, Secretary and Treasurer, Sally Brooks Additions to our class were Dick Brayfield, Velta Elknis, Doris Walker, Charles Sawyer and Francis Gordert Joanne Riseman left making the total 30 Having Dick Nlblack as President, Brant Furgerson as Vice President, Fred Henderson as Secretary and Mary Hilli ker as Treasurer we started the year with Miss Hackett, as our sponsor AS money maklng progects we sponsored a the Junior Senior Banquet At long last we reach the end of our journey' V started our Senior year with 27 students Gaining Bradley Hodges, Robert Lovett, Walter Westphal, and George West phal Our sponsors were Mrs Wentworth and Mr Bancroft Officers were President, Dick Niblack, Vice President, Mary Jean Bohlman, Secretary, Fred Henderson, Treasurer, Mary Hilliker Student council members were Sally Brooks and Dorothy Walmsley Our first activity was the Senior Prom, followed by the Senior Play A dance was given be fore Christmas The annual was our mayor money making project Other projects were candy sales, bake sales, raffles, and dances On May llq., we left for our Senior Trip from Holland, Michigan Ve spent the second day touring Chicago A day was also spent on Mackinaw Island The trip ended on the 17th at Detroit Bacculaurate was held June lst and Class Night June 3rd The great day for which we had waited so long arrived June Sth when we received our diplomas Even though the long Journey with many wonderful stu dents has ended we will never forget the good time we have had together and the troubles we've shared o , 9 Sadie Hawkins Dance, J-Hop, and Junior Play.
