DEDICATIGN: RICHARD FALCON The class of 1986 is happy to announce that this year's year- book has been dedicated to Mr. Richard Falcon. Until his depar- ture this yean Mn Falcon had been a member of the social studies department for many years. His unique style of teaching brought both interest and en- thusiasm to all his classes. He generated numerous class discussions causing many students to express their own thoughts, opinions and feelings on many different topics. Mr. Falcon's original stories, whether true or ficticious, often helped students learn while having fun His main objective was to involve his students in their subject matter He often accomplished this by stating opinions in total contradiction to the norm, or travelling to the extreme ends of conservatism or liberalism. Mr. Falcon was also available to help his students outside of the classroom He has written many letters of recommendation for graduating seniors, and served as a newspaper advisor for several years. He was also a friend to many students, sewing as a sounding board and confidant when a problem arose, or just a friendly face in the halls of Drury.
