New advisors, Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Chilson brought refreshing new ideas to the organization. In October, the council sponsored a successful blood mobile drive, collecting 45 pints of blood. During the winter, the group provided community support by holding a can goods drive and Christmas caroling at local elderly projects. They held a successful Winter Carnival dance under the title Purple Rain . Then in March they joined the We Are The World campaign by taking a collection for the Ethiopian Fund. Finally in April and May the council took part in an exchange with neighboring Hoosac Valley, which proved to be extremely successful. The officers of the council were: Sec. jill Morin, V. Pres. MEMCRIES OF SKI CLUB The Ski Club had a large, en- thusiastic membership this year. They met every Thursday at 1:30 to ski at Jiminey Peak and did not return until 7:30. In spite of the fact that mother nature pro- vided very little snow, the group managed to have a great time. Mr. Solari and Ms. Donnelly ac:- companied the club to the slopes. Mr. Solari gives instructions.
