New advisors, Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Chilson brought refreshing new ideas to the organization. In October, the council sponsored a successful blood mobile drive, collecting 45 pints of blood. During the winter, the group provided community support by holding a can goods drive and Christmas caroling at local elderly projects. They held a successful Winter Carnival dance under the title Purple Rain . Then in March they joined the We Are The World campaign by taking a collection for the Ethiopian Fund. Finally in April and May the council took part in an exchange with neighboring Hoosac Valley, which proved to be extremely successful. The officers of the council were: Sec. jill Morin, V. Pres. EMORIES OF CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY This year's Christmas Assembly, sponsored by the Pep Club, was a great success. Many seniors, direct- ed by Marie Crosby, presented A Charlie Brown Christmas play. Several rock bands, including Mr. Scerbo's latest, had people dancing in the aisles. Santa and his elves made a special appearance to dis- tribute gifts to the lucky winners of the name drawing contest.
