What is Homecoming? Here at Drury it is a cele- bration to welcome bacl-r Drury al umnifal umnae. It is a week-long series of competitive events begin- ning with the semi-formal dance and ending with the fBig Game' where archrivals, Drury and Hoosac Valley, go at it on the gridiron. This year the semi-formal dance was held on Oc- tober 26, in the Drury gym. The theme of the dance was 'Stairway to Heaven and the gym was decorat- ed with glorious stars and moons. The queen picked this year was Carla Puccio and her court consisted of Maureen Taylor, Missy Boyer, Liz Delisle, and Tracy Hancoclr. Monday and Tuesday were Color Days. On Mon- day, freshmen wore brown and sophomores wore green. On Tuesday, juniors wore red and seniors wore blue. The winners were the seniors. Wednesday was Greaser Day and Soclr Day. Sen- iors won Greaser Day and lost Soclf Day to the ju- niors. Thursday, we observed Hush Day and played the Powder Puff Football Game. The rules for Hush Day were complicated. The girls could not tall: with the guys and visa versa. Plus, we were not allowed to speak to anyone outside our own grade level. Even- tually, the sophomores proved to be the most quiet and the senior girls won the Powder Puff Football Game that was held that night at Noel Field. On Friday, the Pep Rally was held in the gym and Friday night we staged the Snake Dance down Main Street, the burning of the dummy at Noel Field, and the Blue! White Dance baclr at the gym. Incidentally, when the results of the events were announced, naturally, the seniors had won!
