The way in which you actively involved yourself in your graduation proceedings and generally worked with Principal Horan has been most impressive. I am proud of you and appreciate what you have done for your- selves and Drury High School. I sincerely wish you the very best in your future years. Dr. Robert L. PRINCIPAL Message to the Class of 7977 It has been my sincere pleasure to have been blessed with such an outstanding sen- ior class in my first year as Principal of Drury Senior High School. Your efforts as positive models for the un- derclassmen have helped create a climate of respect for the dignity of all at Drury. Many people in our society are alarmed at the rapid pace of change and its effects upon our lives and social structures. This exponen- tial rate of change has overwhelmed individ- uals and groups through what has currently been termed future shock . As new graduates, the future ahead of each of you can be yours to shape and man- age. You are, and will continue to be faced with many choices, and directions that you may take. Seize your own future by putting forth your best individual effort in all that you may do. Manage and shape your future with each decision you make now, or you may also be overcome by the rapid technological and so- cietal forces of the future.
