S'-3 1 ' - ,A The Drury Homecoming of 1972 was a very C 5- il V, I enioyable week. It opened up with the traditional i lj: semi-formal dance on Saturday night, October 28th , pi 1 at the Saint Anthony Parish Hall. The band was the U 2 Parafin's. The court chosen consisted of Nancy i ,.. Law, Maria Gamari, Melissa Sprague lqueenl, Che- -3 T Ky 4:-3: ryl Starr, and Audrey Dumas. W WINNERS OF GREASER DAY ll.. to RJ: Hank Maroni, Sergio Demo, Nicky DelNegro, and Amanda Gar- CQGU. The following day was designated Greaser Day . On this day, all students were asked to dress up in the outfits ofthe l950's. The iudges, Mr. Hor- ahan and Mrs. Duby, chose Nicky DelNegro and Sergio Demo as the queen and king of the greasers. That night, the annual Powder Puff Football Game was held at Noel Field. Several varsity football players acted as coaches, while the varsity football coaches officiated the game. The sophomore-iunior team wan the battle. On Friday, November 5th, the Hoosac Valley pep rally was held. That night, the Snake dance was conducted, with students marching from Drury down to Noel Field, ending with the burning of the Hoosac Valley Dummy. The procession then went back to Drury to dance. On Saturday afternoon, Drury played against Hoosac Valley in a football game. The game proved to be very exciting, with Hoosac Valley winning, I 3 to 6. I7

A4 - 7-1 'Wahconah - 4-I K Pittsfield - 3V2-I V2 'St. Joseph - 7-l , Wahconah - 4-l 'Away ln its second year in the Northern Berkshire Chess League, Drury won the championship for its second consecutive year with a perfect season record of 6 and 0. After last year's demoralizing defeat in the Western Mass. High School Team Championship, we returned this year, being seated in tenth place. This year, however, with outstanding performances by Jim Eade and Sam Hurlbut we proceeded to climb out of last place and on upward into third. Throughout the season, we kept the same playing arrangement with Jim Eade playing number one board, Tom Glickman and Sam Hurlbut playing two and three respectively. Larry Noyes played fourth and Jeff Delisle and Joe Salerno alternated at fifth spot. Alternates were Jim Shaker, Mike Reopell and Bruce Moulthrop.
