Its ceiling is only SOOO fta which is comparatively lowp in these modern times. This machine, differing in construction from the ordinary air- plane, has two propellersm One, a large 4 bladed propeller, is located directly above the pilot. This creates a force which drives the ship up and down. The other is a two bladed propeller situated in the Each end of the ship and tends tc drive the ship forward. ,Q hz ' N A-large and powerful motor is required to furnish power for these two blades therefore making the plane A bit heavy. There is more ,hauee qor wear and break-downs because of its many moving parts. . r This ship's controls are com- plicated making few people capable of operating it correctlyk Pewwle of the ordinary class could not afford such a machine, not only because of its high purchase price, but because of its expensive maintenance. Last year due to volunteer labor, the farmers were able to raise a record crop. This year more than ever the people throughout the world are depending on the United States for food to keep body and soul togetherg So this summer make 'it your business to volunteer for farm work. If you have any spare land plant a small wlctory garden and raise the foods that are scarce to buy. VHQLQ your country.n UFood is my . J. f n -, -L 192s The world is deeply indebted to the farmers for their untiring efforts to supply the world with food. 'X-ii-'X'- We often wonder why the girls always 'aile at Steve Amato. Could it be his cute wavy hair? . -' A The Trade School basketball team wound up its season with a successful year. . The team was in excellent shape due to the coaching of Ray Fawcetta Ray taught us a lot about basketball and his policy was that a team is not a team unless it fights as a unit. He also showed us plays and had us practice them until we knew them back- wards.: We wish to thank Coach. . Raymond Fawcett for his time and effort that he so willingly gave us. The team bought bhue trunks and white jerseys as a standard outfit anl this greatly improved the appearance of the entire team.
