EVELYN LOUISE HYNDMAN Nu Sigma Epsilon 2, 3 Academe Typist 4 Lulu is a girl to remember. She is going to make some- thing of herself. She has been an honor student during her four years at Drury. Upon entering school she planned to be- come a secretary but now her ambition is to become a reporter. SAMUEL JOSEPH JAMMALLO Sam is a quiet, unassuming fellow, recognized as a 'tregular guy by every one. Here at Drury, he's minded his own busi- ness and never made an enemy. Sam succeeded in acquiring a good average in his studies and as a result, passed the Army Air Corps exam when at the half he was called by the draft. ERNEST EDWARD JONES, JR. Varsity Football 1, 2, 3, 4 Interclass Track 1, Z, 3 Varsity Track 1, Z, 4 Student Council 2 Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3 Traffic Corps 2. 3, 4 Interclass Baseball 1, 2, 3 First Aid Club 3 Radio Club 4 Doc is a very fine football player. In his search for knowl- edge, he was inspired by that epic novel Bailey's Handbook for Firemen , and since then he has guided his fellow students in all their plumbing problems. Somewhat of an inventor, he has designed a water pump that defies the laws of gravity, physics, chemistry and humanity. He was regular center on the 1943 undefeated championship football team and a demon on defense.
