iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii H E iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii MILDRED LENT GLEASON Millie Dear old Millie with the dreamy eyes, has not participated in many of Drury's activities, but her frankness, honesty, and kindness have left their mark upon our hearts. Millie's love of appropriate and attractive furniture plus her capability and practicability should be valuable assets in her career as an interior decorator. HELEN SYLVIA GLICK Basketball 1 French Club 3, 4 Service Corps 3 Prom Committee 3, 4 A feeble answer first period, an unrestrainable giggle in gym, and a strange power of deduction in an algebra class tell Helen's story. Neither the phlegmatic nor too active type, Helen has found a happy medium which results in good marks and good times. WARREN EDMUND HAMER Warren is certainly a hard fellow to figure out. He has an innocent appearance but in reality he's quite capable of stirring up a good mess of trouble. We have recognized Warren to be one of our most en- thusiastic sportsmen. He knows his sports and likes them, especially fishing. If he hears that there's a good-sized trout twenty miles away, he'll walk to catch it. With that spirit you can't fail, Warren. MARGUERITE AMELIA HANLON W upegu 4aMarge7v Basketball 1, 4 Secretary of D. A. A. 4 Soccer 4 Class Book Typist 4 Minstrels 1, 2 Faust Choir 3, 4 'tMartha Happy, sunny Marge has Won a place entirely her own in this class of '36. That cheerful grin is never absent from her countenance, and she has the vitality plus common sense that could withstand many monoton- 1 ous hours of hardwork. Marge has that wonderful 3 faculty of being truly enthusiastic about everything, and we hope that she may carry this enthusiasm into her future work. 1 l l l Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii nga- 22222822828222228222228882

Many times the silence of a class has been broken by some witty remark from little Dot, Don't think that's all she can do. She has contributed many splendid articles for the Academe, and has even forgotten her wit for a few minutes to write some serious poetry for us. Strangely, her true ambition is to be an aviatrix. Good luck and happy landings, Dot ! GRACE NANCY GIACCO Grace Smiler Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4 Cheer Leader 3, 4 Drama Club 4 Martha 4 Prom Committee 3 Grace has certainly done her part in Drury. She has been an inspiring cheer leader and an important factor in the good cheering at our games. At our dances one is fortunate if he is able to secure a dance with Grace, as she is always in demand. This is true not only because she is our best dancer, but also because she has a sweet simplicity that is very pleasing. We're all for you, Grace! WILLIAM EDWARD GILMAN Klgillll KIG,illy7Y Baseball 1, 2, 3, 4, Capt. 4 Class Book Staff Basketball 3, 4 Academe Staff Football 2, 3, 4 Traffic Corps 4 Prom Committee 3, 4 Bill certainly deserves the honor of being our best all-around boy. He has been an important factor in the success of our three major sport teams and also has contributed faithfully to our school and class pub- lications with his well-done, artistic designs. Bill is sure to come through to success in life because of his capabilities, but if these should fail him, his calm pleas- ing smile will certainly come to his rescue. This smile, with the aid of a grand personality and plenty of good looks, is making many-a-heart flutter, and certainly will continue to do so. RUSSELL WALLACE GIROUX KKRuSS!l Track 2, 3, 4 Our Russ is a typical regular fellow. Although he is rather quiet, he has a grand personality. If you d0n't believe this, ask anyone from the manual training gang. He's a loyal member of the track team, and if there ever was a Speedster Russ is one. We hate to see such a big-hearted fellow leave us, but with his sterling qualities, We're sure he'll make good, 333333333llllllillllllilli ?2????????22????22?QW?

This past year, the house at 49 Hall Street has played host to many visitors, and particularly to one senior. RITA BRIDGET HEALEY nBTidgn Prom Committee 3 Soccer 4 Band 1, 2, 3, 4 Minstrels 1, 2 Basketball 2, 3, 4 This happy-go-lucky Irish lass with her ready smile has won her way into hearts of teachers and pupils. Though not too fond of studying, Bridg is a con- scientious hard-worker, and has made school her full- time task. Bridg is very fond of athletics and is a dependable rooter for all games in any field. We hope that Bridg will be happy and con- tented in her chosen career as a nurse, and we are sure that her determination will give her a place in the world. ROSCOE DAVID HOSLEY Oscar Nu Sigma Epsilon Prom Committee 3, 4 Stage Hand 1, 2, 3, 4 We owe a great deal of thanks to Roscoe because he has always performed one of the duties here at school for which one is never appreciated. During his four years Roscoe has worked earnestly at the hard task of securing and putting up the scenery for our school plays and musicals. Also, d0n't forget, Roscoe is the strong man of our class, having the highest average in the strength tests. Girls, it's too bad we haven't more he men like Oscar, isn't it? VIRGINIA MAY JOHNSON Basketball 1 Giney Traflic Corps 4 Drama Club 3, 4 Minstrels 1, 2 Choir 4 Martha Cheer Leader 2 Prom Committee 3 And here, my friends, is Giney. Don't crowd, boys - Giney has a steady, Disappointed? Never mind, better luck next time. Good-looking, a lovely personality, charming manners - and there she is! , She's very much at home on a dance floor. She just l seems to glide and glide. Don't forget your old friends frgm D.,H.
