He can appreciate a good joke and is always ready with a wise crack. There is little doubt about the rumor that Bill owns a brick at Anes's as he can usually be found there with one of his pals. BERNARD LEWIS DENNIS ccwimpyvv Wimpy is one of the quietest boys in the senior class. He never speaks unless spoken to, but still water runs deep. He has only been with us two years, but his cheer- ful smile and pleasing personality have won him many friends at Drury. We know Wimpy will be successful in Whatever he undertakes. He started right in by singing his way into our hearts. Although he is forced to commute daily each morn- ing from Monroe Bridge, this early matutinal rising does not disturb his bland, serene personality. He spends most of his spare time in the neighborhood of the ticket office of Loew's Richmond Theatre. We wonder what the attraction is? BARBARA ELSIE CROFTS KKBarb!I Minstrels 1 Basketball 3, 4 Prom Committee 3 Class Book Staff Barb, tall and attractive, is an eflicient business girl. However, all her time is not spent in commercial study. She has many outside interests, eh, Barb ? She is, indeed, a true friend and one that will always remain loyal and steadfast. CHARLES BERNARD DAUNAIS Charlie Don't let this young man fool you, for although he may appear to be verging on the soporific state, he is ever on the alert. And, hush, Charlie is one of Drury's most proficient practical jokers. His innocent grin and many witticisms have made him a universal favorite. He is also skilled in the art of borrowing and has not, as yet, returned a certain pen to a certain girl. WILLIAM ERNEST DUBE Bill Choir 4 Martha Tall, blonde, good-natured, Bill ! He's a familiar figure on the dance floor, and it is very evidently his favorite pastime. His pleasing vocal ability won him a place in the successful opera, Martha. We're not just sure, but a little freshman seems to have most of his attention these days. BARBARA HELEN EVANS Barb Bains Prom Committee 3 Minstrels 1, 2 Barb is a quiet, lady-like girl, who possesses a humorous streak that is greatly appreciated by her companions. Kind-hearted and anxious to please, her friendly nature and personality have conquered many a fellow classmate, and undoubtedly will con- tribute toward a successful career as a nurse.
