However, he spends a great deal of his time escorting a certain senior girl here and there. WALTER BRUCE BALLOU Klwaltif This quiet, studious fellow has not participated in many of Drury's activities, but he certainly has endeavor- ed to keep up the Alma Mater's scholastic standing. Although Walt keeps pretty much to himself, when he does come out of his shell, he startles everyone with his friendly, personable character. His decisiveness and determination should enable him to be a success in whatever field he chooses to enter. BERYL HAZEL BARTON Minstrels 2 Prom Committee 3 Nu Sigma Pro Merito French Club 3 Academe Staff 4 Class Book Stafi' 4 Beryl has received her reward for her diligent study by being one of the most brilliant students in the Senior class. She has a natural musical ability, and we know that no matter what course she may choose to follow in the future, her quiet, unassuming personality will gain her many friends. THOMAS BEALL KIT0m!! His deep voice, with a pleasing Scottish accent, and his gentlemanly, quiet manner have made him a friendly asset to Drury during the past four years. His keen interest in athletics has won for him a place in Inter- scholastic and Church League basketball, and, lastly, the honor of being chosen the Sports Editor of the Academe. Mary's soft, sweet voice is scarcely audible, but, as she sits down, she flashes a charming, shy smile in the direction of the class in general. All's forgiven. Who could resist her gentle, ladylike demureness? Mary's many friends of thirty-six wish her good luck in her future career. HARLEY EDWARD ANDREW Baseball 2 Prom Committee 3 Harley is one of our easy-going, amiable fellows. His interests are concentrated principally about baseball and girls. However, this does not mean that he neglects his studies, for he takes his school work seriously, and is constantly passing with good grades. Harley expects to take up Journalism next year, and we're sure he'll be successful. BENJAMIN APKIN KKBenY7 Ben should be political adviser to the president, for his theories concerning politics are truly worth heeding. An avid reader of newspapers, he is ever ready to discuss the latest issues of the day. Ben's plans for next year are indefinite, but we know he will be successful in whatever he undertakes. If a giggle was heard during an explanation of the requirements of a good filing system, that was Dorry . Her con- tagious laughter and sunny smile have penetrated the hearts of many at Drury. CHARLES E. BOISVERT Fat Charlie Basketball 2, 3, 4, Capt. 4 Football 2, 3, 4 Asst. Manager Baseball 3 Track 2 Manager of Baseball 4 Student Council 4 Traffic Corps 3, 4 Chief of Traffic Corps 4 Prom Committee 3 Charlie has been one of Drury's outstanding athletes, excelling in basketball and football. He's an able track man and deserves credit for his remarkable swim- ming ability. Charlie likewise possesses a pleasing and witty personality, which has created for him a throng of friends. A boy with these splendid traits will surely make a success of anything he undertakes. CHARLES FRANCIS BOURDON Service Corps 4 Prom Committee 4 Charlie is yet another of the quiet members of our class. However, he possesses an additional, valuable characteristic-patience. We hear that he uses it to good advantage when fishing. This past year he has been a helpful member of the Service Corps. Good luck, Charlie. She has shown herself to be a fair and enthusiastic sportswoman on the gym fioor.
