BRADLEY-Hats oft to Mr. Bradley who in 2 years has proven that it takes a lot of patience and understand- ing to provide the careful direction needed for our school. Mr. Bradley received his B. S, E. degree from Ar- kansas State Teachers College and his M. S. degree from the University of Arkansas. He previously served as principal of Garfield Jr. High School in Rodgers, Arkansas. Principal-School Board SCHOOL BOARD--These gentlemen direct school needs. Drumright High School's wise and fore-sighted Board of Education spent long hours in planning for our school needs this year. I s I Y' Mr. A. C. Wiemer has been with Drumright High School for 33 years. Of these 33 years, he spent 20 as principal and 8 as the school Superintendent. Mr. Wiemer is in charge of the administration whose adequate educational pro gram for the boys and girls of this community. He received his B. A, degree from North Central College in Naper ville, Illinois, and his M. Ed. degree from Colorado State College of Greeley, Colorado. Miss Lucille Anderson-Speaking of years of service, Miss Anderson has been the Drumright High School secretary for I5 years. She is also an alumni of D. H. Each teacher makes notes of the events pertaining to him. Also if any problems have risen and should be discussed by the teachers, it is done at the meeting. Faculty meetings were held from 8:30 to 9:00 every Tuesday morning. Mrs. Lou Ann Pinkston is inspecting the trophy she was pre- sented at the Oklahoma State Fair as Creek County's Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Pinkston was honored during Teacher Recog- nition Day as the teacher having taught the most number of years in Creek County, Mrs. Pinkston has been teaching for forty-two years. E. Baber. The Tornadoes opened the season being host to a one day basketball festival with Tulsa Webster, Holdenville, Muskogee and Drumright taking part. In the opening game against the Tulsa Webster five, the Tornadoes were victorious by a 55-47 score. ln the eve- ning performance, the Tornadoes lost their first game ofthe season to the Muskogee Cagers, 43-35, who are coached by ex-Drumright Coach,W, M. Duckworth, The local five then started the long season an December 7, against Sand Springs, beating the Sandites, 34-25. During the remainder ot the season the Torn- adoes played and beat such powerful teams as Guthrie Bristow, Miami, Midwest City, and Van Buren, Arkan- sas, while losing to Pawhuska, Stillwater, Booker Ti Washington, Holdenville and Cushing, ln the North- eastern A. 8 M. Invitational Tournament at Miami, Coach Baber's team beat Broken Arrow 44-37, and host Miami, 45-37, before bowing out to the Huskies from Pawhuska, 46-6l, in the finals. ln the Central State Tournament at Edmond, Drum- right won over Midwest City, 60-59, but were defeated by the Holdenville five 33-4l. The Regional Tourna- ment in which the Tornadoes played was at Guthrie this year, Perry was the tirst round victim of the Tornadoes, 61-40, however, the season ended for the Tornadoes when the Cushing Tigers won the following night, 7O-54.
