He tliildren, Mary Ann .ind lfred l1Ll5 Kwai Darrel. Long prominent in civic, edu- cational and athletic activities, Mr XX'iemer is highly respected by all xslmi know him. ADMINISTRATIUN S., Q., X., Darwin Kirkman Mr. Kirkman came to D. H, S. in 1947. He had previously directed the band in Shamrock for two and one-half years before entering Oklahoma A. R M. where he received his B.S. degree in 1941. He also taught at A, 8: M. and Tulsa in the aviation department before entering the Marine Corps where he saw service in Hawaii and japan as a radio technician. After his discharge he con- tinued his studies at the University of Maryland. He received his M.S. degree in 1947, whereupon he came immedi- ately to Drumright. Here he served as a director of guidance and as a science teacher. In October, 1948, he became principal of the high school. He is well liked by both students and faculty.
