We d like to thank him for the time he spent helping the class and for his patience with us when we had our small disagreements. They did however, make a return trip to the Western Divisionals. They played some very stiff competition and were not able to make that return trip to the State. But things look very promising for our Lady Trojans as they only graduated 2 seniors. LaRae Enman and Sandi DiMaggio will not be coming back, but we will return Susan, Shawna, Gayle and Laurie from the starting five which will make the Lady Trojans a team that will have to be dealt with by the other teams in our conference YOU DID A GREAT JOB GALS! Under the leadership of Coaches Anderson, Brad- shaw and Scully, DHS again brought home a trophy as they finished second in the 12 C District Meet. This marks the sev- enth consecutive year that the Trojans have finished at or near the top of the conference. This year also saw some record shatter- ing performances led by Pat Bignell's destroying the pole vault record in all of the meets he'd attended this year. At the State Finals he vaulted 15 feet, 17 inches higher than the vault last year which broke Coach Scully's mark set in 1974. Other fine perfor- mances were also turned in by Steven, Jeff, Tony, Shawn and others. Good job fellas!! We are truly proud of you!! MR. ' A MR. COMMENCEMENT: 1985 On May 22, 1985, we said good-bye to the Class of '85 and it was done with mixed emotions. Some of us were happy that the Class of '85 was beginning a new life, while others were saddened with the thought of losing some good friends and acquaintences. Yes, the Class of '85 have bid a fond farewell to DHS and vice versa. You, the Seniors of 1985, now must take the initiative and go forth to make a name for yourself. The road to life will be paved with stones as well as being smooth and unobstructed. What you make of your life will depend on what you want to put into it. But we know that whatever you do you will do it well. Just give it your best and success will surely follow. And so, dear friends, we say good-bye, good luck and may God bless you. Come back again.
