This year the FHA activities included a bake sale and the Sadie Hawkins Dance. The girls sponsored a picnic in honor of the football team and the coaches at the ranch of an honorary member, Mrs. Leona Ostler. The chapter painted garbage cans as their contribution to Earth week. It was a three act mystery-comedy taking place in the Nelson Funeral Home. Hercules and Wilber, the two 13 year old detectives attempted to solve the case, but were almost done in as the scheming doctor outwitted everyone except Frankie. With the help of Granny and the overly strong housekeeper the doctor was sub- dued. Wilber and Here were heralded as heroes by their newly found girl- friends Nina and Celeste.
