During the past two years there have been many developments in our school the value of which will become apparent as our graduates leave to seekcareers in industry, business, the profes- sions, and homemaking. Increased emphasis is being placed on commercial preparation, home economics and industrial arts, and music skills and appreciation as well as the basic studies in English, mathematics, and the sci- ence s. Your faculty is increasingly aware of guid- ance techniques, the importance of individualiz- ing instruction, and the value of close team- work between home and school. The recent surge of interest in a new physical plant bespeaks a confidence on the part of the community which is indeed gratifying to your Board of Trustees and the members of the faculty. May I express my keen appreciation of the worthwhileness of this volume and the devoted efforts the members of the Class of 1955 have expended in its publication. Cordially yours. Harold M.
