CLASS PROPHECY One afternoon in the year of 30 9 on the planet of Mare, I was glancing through past centuries In the tine machine. 1 was startled to see a face much like my ovn appear before me. Stopping the machine, I ran to the library to see if 1 could find this face in the album of ay forefathers. I discovered it was a graduation picture taken in the year 19 9, when people were still living on the lost planet, Earth. ■ Returning to the machine, I widened the scope to view the entire class of 19 9 in their graduation exercises. After the ceremony was over and the Seniors had gone, 1 became curious as to what befell these graduates; so I turned the machine ahead fifteen years. And this ie what I saw: Betty Lorenson, the shyest girl in this class, is now conducting her last campaign speech before the people go to the polls. Her chances of becoming the first lady President of the United States are very good according to the Gallop Polls. Another graduate is well on his way to becoming the biggest railroad tycoon in American History. He already has acquired much fame and fortune, although Mr. K.G. Reynolds is only thirty-four years old. The former Miss Janece Johnson is in Paris with her latest interest, Europe a most popular bachelor. She has been married four times, has six children, and is still prospecting. Emmett Weaver decided he had had enough farming, and seeking adventure turned to the sea. He has been around the world several times in his yacht and has discovered small islands which he named •Weaver s Paradise. The modern Elorence Nightingale, Miss Lois Kolbeck, is doing research work in the famous World Laboratory in Switzerland. She has given up vealth and family life for her career. A.s the time machine finds our next graduate, I ass a large Dude Ranch owned by a good looking hombrs who, because of his alluring mustache and vast wealth, is much pursued by women of all ages. Kenny Graybeal ie still wearing a ten-gallon hat and high-heeled boots. Roby Stinger married young. She moved to Hollywood where her geniUB was soon discovered by Walt Disney. After Mr. Disney’s death, Ruby became the world's greatest cartoonist. The newest invention on the market is the Automatic Dresser which does everything from tie your tie to shine Madame s shoes. Mr. and Mrs. John Weaver (the former Miss Irene Oxford is Mrs. Weaver) are very happy with their four children and 800,000 sheep. The only woman baseball player in this profession is retiring after this season, which has been the tenth consecutive year with the Yankees.
