Stopping the machine, I ran to the library to see if 1 could find this face in the album of ay forefathers. I discovered it was a graduation picture taken in the year 19 9, when people were still living on the lost planet, Earth. ■ Returning to the machine, I widened the scope to view the entire class of 19 9 in their graduation exercises. After the ceremony was over and the Seniors had gone, 1 became curious as to what befell these graduates; so I turned the machine ahead fifteen years. And this ie what I saw: Betty Lorenson, the shyest girl in this class, is now conducting her last campaign speech before the people go to the polls. Her chances of becoming the first lady President of the United States are very good according to the Gallop Polls. Another graduate is well on his way to becoming the biggest railroad tycoon in American History. He already has acquired much fame and fortune, although Mr. K.G. Reynolds is only thirty-four years old. The former Miss Janece Johnson is in Paris with her latest interest, Europe a most popular bachelor. She has been married four times, has six children, and is still prospecting. Emmett Weaver decided he had had enough farming, and seeking adventure turned to the sea. He has been around the world several times in his yacht and has discovered small islands which he named •Weaver s Paradise. The modern Elorence Nightingale, Miss Lois Kolbeck, is doing research work in the famous World Laboratory in Switzerland. She has given up vealth and family life for her career. A.s the time machine finds our next graduate, I ass a large Dude Ranch owned by a good looking hombrs who, because of his alluring mustache and vast wealth, is much pursued by women of all ages. Kenny Graybeal ie still wearing a ten-gallon hat and high-heeled boots. Roby Stinger married young. She moved to Hollywood where her geniUB was soon discovered by Walt Disney. After Mr. Disney’s death, Ruby became the world's greatest cartoonist. The newest invention on the market is the Automatic Dresser which does everything from tie your tie to shine Madame s shoes. Paul Blesonette has also invented things such as:, neck washers, watch-winders, fingernail cleaners and polishers, automatic baby burp era, etc. Pat Rosehbeck, alias Pat Powers, started her career as a model. Her stvles are now accepted as top fashions the world over. She also owns large fashion shops in every country. The time machine now takes us to the largest sheep ranch in the western hemisphere. Mr. and Mrs. John Weaver (the former Miss Irene Oxford is Mrs. Weaver) are very happy with their four children and 800,000 sheep. The only woman baseball player in this profession is retiring after this season, which has been the tenth consecutive year with the Yankees. Pal McGregor is going to be married soon in an elaborate ceremony in the Yankee Stadium at Hew York. The leading comic star of Broadway and Hollywood is appearing in the metropolis of the vest, Drummond, Montana. This is the home town of the star. Cliff de Wolfe. The Jolly Senior of 19 +9. Cliff Wilson, is now a true Hollywood casanova. My curiosity ‘being satisfied, I stopped the time machine. I thought to myself how very fortunate I am to be living in the Pill Age on Mars instead of having lived on the barbarous planet, Earth. About one month before our third year ended, Clifford Tubbs stopped along the way. We were now on the last part of our Journey with thirteen members left under the supervision of Mr. I ne. During the summer we lost Chester Ahlin and Gene Naef, but gained Prances Cooper. Kenny Graybeal was once again our wagon boss with Paul Bissonette. as his assistant. Betty Lorensen was our recorder. Thanksgiving Eve, we sponsored a dance (Senior Ball) for the enjoyment of all. With only a few mileB left, we lost Prances Cole Cooper, who took up house keeping instead of continuing on the Journey. This year we were the honored guests at a formal banquet held May fifth and at a formal dance, which carried out our forty-niner theme, held on April 3° We reached the end of our Journey by striking it rich in knowledge, when on the nineteenth of May, we received diploma for our efforts.
