Fload rally clues are hard enough to figure out without adding aerial photographs. The APO aerial photo road rally of November 6, 1971, did just that. The rally was run almost entirely in Phila- delphia. Only a small part of it went into Conshohocken. Forty-three vehicles en- tered the rally. One of the entries was two motorcycles. The winner was the car which had closest to the cor- rect time forthe route. Time was carefully kept by special rally watches. The National Society of Scabbard and Blade is the national honorary fraternity for Advanced Corps Cadets enrolled in the various ROTC pro- grams throughout the United States. Advanced Corps Cadets who have demonstrated superior leadership qualities and who wish to promote ROTC activities on the college campus are given the opportunity to pledge Scabbard and Blade. The members perform various services throughout the school year. Among these are the providing of escorts at Homecoming, sponsoring the Annual Fall Formal, holding social events for the ROTC students, and promoting ROTC pro- grams and events. Open to all students, but of primary interest to those in the Military Science and various engineering and science programs, the Society of American Mil- itary Engineers strives to bridge the gap between military and civilian en- gineers and scientists by giving mem- bers a diversified look at engineering problems with emphasis on the prob- lems of the environment and national security. The Dragon's Guard is a co-ed pre- cision drill team and service organiza- tion associated with the Military Sci- ence Department. Formed in 1968, the team competes in intercollegiate drill meets along the east coast, serves as ushers and guides at University func- tions, and makes periodic visits to lo- cal military and veterans' hospitals. The Drexel Rangers are a voluntary sub-unit of the Drexel ROTC Corps of Cadets. Members undergo intensive and strenuous training in the art of soldiering, physical conditioning and survival arts. An elite unit, the Rangers practice and strengthen their skills through participation in field training exercises.
