Alpha Phi Omega is the national service fraternity on campus. The brothers provide service to the school by sponsoring activities such as road rallys, blood drive, book ex- change and mixers. Planning and advertising are just as impor- tant to these projects as the actual running of them. Many long hours are spent carefully painting an intricate banner, printing posters with press type and mimeograph. Manning projects is no problem. The brothers volunteer their time willingly. Other organizations such as SPB and the Home- coming committee ask for their help in run- ning projects. The social part of fraternity life is not for- gotten. A house is considered an unneces- sary expense by the national fraternity. This does not hamper things much as parties and get-togethers are held in the brothers' homes and apartments.

Fload rally clues are hard enough to figure out without adding aerial photographs. The APO aerial photo road rally of November 6, 1971, did just that. The rally was run almost entirely in Phila- delphia. Only a small part of it went into Conshohocken. Forty-three vehicles en- tered the rally. One of the entries was two motorcycles. The winner was the car which had closest to the cor- rect time forthe route. Time was carefully kept by special rally watches. The rally photos were taken by the brothers from a small plane piloted by one of them. ,c.f'535' ,, ' ,f '-..f N237 xy 115. O' .fir-t t.,.. W gag 65-.cb .cg-D b 242 1?
