PIHIGRESS A total ol 850 students were placed in coopera- tive jobs during the past year in all phases of engineering work - steel mills, oil refineries. power stations, and other process industries: and in the business world -- insurance. retail stores, banks, and varied types of office work. This, Drexel's thirty-second year of cooperative training, compares with the placement of 42 students in 1922, illustrating the expansion ot the cooperative education plan to meet the demands of a changing industrial world. Well suited to the intensive concentration of industry in the Philadelphia area, there is a constant demand for both Drexel grad- uates and undergraduate cooperative students.
